Show Me the Monet

I confess. While I admire and respect the enormous talents of M. Claude Monet, he is not on my list of favorite artists. Not even close, just not my thang. But I thought I'd give a shot at the Artist Challenge going on these days. Darn shame I didn't choose a scene that the master would even paint. And what's worse is that I really didn't even come close to imitating his style. (Dangitall, I couldn't find Photoshop's "Monet" filter!) Ugh. Oh, well. These dailies are for experimenting...

Original photo taken 6 days ago in Round Valley, north of Bishop, CA, and edited (if you can call it that) this evening. Happy Weekend all!
It's beautiful though! I think it a fabulous attempt and a success!

Well, for my Monet, I too think it's quite beautiful and a successful challenge-meet.

Monet had to paint those darn water lilies because he didn't have scenery like that! He would be so-o-o jealous.

I wish I could own a painting by him, not necessarily because he is my favorite, if you know what I mean $$$$

Monet is not my thang that much, but I love how I did not have to read your description to realize it was monet. I used the paint brush feature or the iphone app Paint It Now
