Yup, remnants/descendants of the small herd William Hearst kept at his castle (about an hour up the coast) many years ago. They roam the land and it's just so fun to spot them near the highway as usually they're in the hills somewhere. Hearst Ranch (San Simeon) is huuuuge!!!
