so great!! I've never seen that kind of coloring on cormorants. Nor have I seen them hanging out so close to a ...wait, let me get this...that's a harbor seal, right?
@ellen LOL, yup. That's a Harbor Seal! And yeah, aren't those colors somethin'? I knew they weren't solid black, but I hadn't realized they had that dark blue-green on their backs, either. How cool!! I do think they were in their mating plumage at the time so that may account for some of it.

I had no idea - it looks be-YOO-tee-ful! Thought of you guys today as we walked past the Tim Burton exhibit. LACMA and a BUNCH of other museums are doing MidCentury Modern exhibits right now- worth seeing!
