St. John's Cathedral

Lafayette, LA - Site donated by Jean Mouton (founder of Lafayette) in 1821. Dutch Romanesque church built in 1916.

The church is all but vacant at night, but the lights remain on. The kids and I toured the grounds undisturbed.

Within the minute after this photo was taken, the church bells began to toll -- thunderous, melodic -- marking another hour of presidence.

Beautiful! Great shot!

Thank you, Sara. I wasn't sure how the iPhone would do in night conditions, but not bad! :)

I was going through the browse section and I came across this picture. I love old churches and this is so nice at night. Great job
