D, no, I'm afraid I'm not fluent. My kumu's aunty told him -- the way he would become fluent is by reading the Baibala Hemolele, so he gave this one to me (he knew I was studying). This edition, as you can see if you look closely, doesn't include the Hawaiian diacritical marks, so it can be difficult to interpret certain words. Also, the Baibala Hemolele uses a lot of "old Hawaiian" words you may not find in Mary Kawena Pukui's dictionary. It's challenging, certainly, but when I compare the Hawaiian to the English, l recognize the Hawaiian words and phrases, most of the time. :)
