Ring the Badger Bell

This is the Bell Inn at Standerwick, between Frome & Trowbridge.

Bells had a lot of superstition attached to them. It is believed they drove away evil spirits that loitered around entrances so they were hung in doorways and visitors were encourage to ring them on entry to protect themselves and the occupants.

Local legend has it that people were hanged at the crossroads opposite the pub & also buried there.

On a more upbeat note they serve fantastic food & beer including Badger Ales (Tanglefoot, First Call, Poachers Choice, Fursty Ferret etc.)
Love this - and I love your crazy angle. fav

@dorsethelen Thanks so much for your comments & fav. Sometimes I think shooting on an angle gives the building a greater visual impact, though it depends on the range etc. Sometimes a straight ahead shot is the best.
