This pic was a struggle, as it was already past birdy bedtime when I got home (only 9 assignments left to mark now, I think I'm going to be working a lot this weekend!). Still, with some toast handy as a bribe, the feathered one was up and about so I could sneak a quick photo... :)

Here's my October challenge, made up yesterday so I have no idea if it will work...
1. Grab a book (choose carefully)
2. Choose a page at random. Decide if you like it. (You get 3 chances, then you're stuck with it). Insert bookmark.
3. On the first day, choose a word from the first line. Take photo relating to that word, post to 365. (tag with book-word-challenge or something equally inane)
4. Next day, take a word from the second line of the next page, take photo, post etc.
5. Continue for October, moving one page further in to the book, and one line down for each day.
6. If there aren't enough lines on the page, turn over and keep counting until you get to the right line.
7. If you run out of book, choose a new random page and continue from there.
8. If the page is blank you can take a pic of anything
9. you get three free passes in case of lines full of completely unphotographable words, something brilliant happening that doesn't fit the words, or working so late that it's impossible to take a suitable shot.
10. Enjoy! :)
This is a lovely shot of your beautiful and colorful bird. I'm amazed by the challenge you set for yourself. That should so complicated but you're good about doing what you set out to do. Good luck.
Wonderful shot, I've done the same to get Sira to sit still at times (bread works every time). I also love the fact you call it Birdy Bedtime :-), we call it the same here. Now is this Phoenix? Sira doesn't have the yellow spot on his head like she does.
WOW! That sounds like quiet the challenge! I look forward to it! Beautiful photo. Bribes work on all sorts of animal models, I use them all of the time for my monkeys!
A beautiful, colourful bird, it's a lovely photo.
I could never follow your way of finding what to shot, my mind is already confused, your way I don't know, probably jump into the nearest river.
Interesting challenge...I may try it on days where inspiration fails! This parrot, however, inspires! I just posted a couple of Parrot pictures myself!
