i'm with cassandra, a pomegranate, the bottom of it. nice details. wonderful shot and i like that circular framing from the extension tube.

I think it's a Pomegranate also, what I like is the color, shading and the neat little top on it. Great shot!

yep pomegranate i see they are being sold in shops as a fruit out here now for years they were just considered ornamental plants..they are just such an effert to eat but i bet the girls love them

well, number one: it's a cool shot. I really like the use of light. I have no idea what a pomegranate looks like. I was going to guess dead flower on a railroad spike.

@steeler The girls do like them - they chew them to get at all the seeds, and spread the juice as far as possible around the house :)
