Flash of red - Overexposed #1

I think I need some practice at this overexposing lark... Here's my first attempt anyway.
(Note to self - oranges don't really do much in B&W pics...)

Sometimes I get overexposed without even trying ... I never knew you could do that with a digital camera. I have plenty! Nice shot. I like the white on white look. I like the texture of the orange too. Well done, Alia! :)

I think it's a good beginning really. I like the way you've got the light moving across the picture. I think for an orange though the texture of the skin is what really does nicely in black and white so you might be a little too far from the subject to capture that. You'd have to come in closer. But I see you are continuing your overall pattern on the calendar, so a closer shot would erase that.

@olivetreeann Thanks for the tips - I had nowhere to start other than other pics, and most of them featured people! Haven't managed to track down John's rose yet though...
