The reinterment of Richard III takes place on Thursday morning at 10:30am UK time. Thankfully that's just before bedtime here so hopefully I'll be able to listen in on the radio. Here's another of the roses I bought to mark the occasion.
Such a lovely shot of this beautiful rose. Josephine Tey...writing under her/his real name...did a wonderful book on the guilt, or otherwise of Richard III many years ago. I suspect that, at the time it was one of the only serious looks at what was really going on. I'd love you to read it and I'd love to re-read it myself but I can't find it in my house of books
@nataliemac Bosworth, where Richard III died, was the last battle in the Wars of the Roses. The red rose represented the house of Lancaster and the white rose represented the house of York, which Richard belonged to.
