God Bless The USA by allie912

God Bless The USA

If tomorrow all the things were gone,

I'd worked for all my life.

And I had to start again,

with just my children and my wife.

I'd thank my lucky stars,

to be livin here today.

‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,

and they can't take that away.

And I'm proud to be an American,

where at least I know I'm free.

And I wont forget the men who died,

who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,

next to you and defend her still today.

‘Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land,

God bless the USA.
Lee Greenwood

This was attached to a truck in my neighborhood doing some kind of repair work. I see it as a jaunty announcement of worker's pride.
Great song! Cute photo.

What I love about this...is the ordinary, everyday, patriotism of the shot.
Which is something really admirable that Americans are known for, the world over.
Your inherent patriotism, perfectly exemplified by this shot.
I adore the beautiful simplicity of it.
