Every year the 4th grade at our school participates in a service project to provide storybooks for sick and needy kids. Each student buys a new book which he then reads and records. This used to be done on cassette tapes, but now the students create digital files and then burn them to a disc. Each book and CD are then stored in a ziploc bag together and distributed to charities like The Ronald MacDonald House. This year there will be 109 stories to brighten the lives of local kids.
Now that is a wonderful idea..4th grade and they are fully knowledgeable. I don't wouldn't know how to do that but then I have Hans..he always helps out.
What a great idea and way of fostering care in young ones for others less fortunate, they must have a blast doing it just as much as the sick and needy kids get from receiving such gifts :)
