The Quiet of Snow by allie912

The Quiet of Snow

Richmond woke this morning to snow, and surprisingly the city didn't panic. School wasn't cancelled, and when I arrived on campus, I was happy to be able to walk around taking pictures in the stillness of the snow.
Lovely composition!

Stunning. I wish we get snow in my neck of the woods before Christmas :)

How beautiful and magical!

That is strange for Virginia. When we lived in Lynchburg, they rolled up the sidewalks as soon as it began. Couldn't get used to that, being from PA.

Still waiting for that stillness to set in here...it is just a blowing out there all day today and still howeling tonight. Can't wait for it to stop so I can get out and take some pics!

I am so late in seeing this photo. Its beautiful! I love the subdued hues on this one. Isnt it amazing, that when the snow drops, and blankets our neighborhoods, it certainly mutes noises. It is so silent, and beautiful! This reminds me of "Silent Night" song
