Another close-up achieved using my superzoom camera. I took the picture at a distance, and then when I had a chance to study the detail, I discovered I had captured a bird with a red head and chest. I don't have a clue what it is. Do you?
I think this is a Purple Finch...let me check because I always get them mixed up with the House Finch who also has redish markings on him/her...I knew I'd get it mixed up again! It's a House Finch- male. Great shot- the red brick background is perfect!
