Our 4th graders are the top class of the Lower School and fill many leadership roles. Here are two young men whose duty it was to accompany the faculty walkers to the other side of campus where they meet their parents. Other jobs include opening car doors in the morning for arriving car pools(we don't have busses at our school) picking up recycling paper, running the school savings bank and planning the monthly town meeting. I love the look of pride and responsibility on the faces of these two "campus cubs."
Wow, when I saw this photo it immediately reminded me of my elementary years when we were issued our crossing guard belts. We wore them proudly, bright orange.
how cool, and those smiles. Yes, I was a patrol boy, my first chance at law enforcement. LOL. I was assigned to take a red flag on a cane pole and stick it out to stop cars for the buses to leave.... I do not think they would allow that now.
I had dismissal duty with these 2 boys today. They did a great job leading the walkers over to the other side of campus! Teachers really do depend on our campus cubs to help out with arrival and dismissal duties!
