My friend Susan gave me some festive plates and place settings for New Year's dinner. Unfortunately John has been under the weather and really not up to a fancy dinner. Maybe Sunday evening we will have a late celebration. In the meantime, I love the look of the napkin ring.
Oh how pretty! I love napkin rings and must force myself to stay away from that section in department stores. I'd own thousands if I didn't! Hoping John will feel better soon and you'll be able to break in those new place settings soon.
I love the colorful and so cheery napkins..sorry to hear that John is down too..Hans's started 13 days ago. I've never seen him as sick as this before. he missed Christmas Eve all togethe and insisted on staying home alone so I could be with the family up in Bobcaygeon. what a trooper. hopefully John will get over it a bit sooner.
@bruni I have heard of tales of illness both near and far. I hope Hans is much improved. John is such a trooper, he doesn't like to slow down but right now he isn't doing much more than sleeping and coughing.
@allie912 Now that you mentioned sleeping..Hans is still on meds and they seem to make him so sleepy. he spent virtually hours and hours sleeping during the day, feeling so bad about it although I kept on saying sleeping is the best medicine.. he is almost finished with the 10 day 3 x a day antibiotic and he's feeling almost a 100% better.
