Sorry, I just couldn't choose which pictures to omit from this story of the Second Grade's research project, culminating in a zoo of their own.
The study began with this trip to the real life zoo ( http://365project.org/allie912/365/2014-04-09) then expanded to animal research and designing animal models and habitats for this zoo, all scaled at 1/6 full size. Many parents and teachers participated in the inquiry process, but the pleasure and accomplishment of this final day belonged to the children.
