Thanks for the Memories

Today was the birthday of a colleague, mentor and good friend. In a sad twist of fate she passed away in the early morning hours of her birthday. She and I were both book lovers and cat people. She gave me this decorative hanging for my garden many years ago. It is looking a bit worn, but no more so than I. I am glad to have this as a remembrance of Ginny's friendship.

I'm so sorry you lost such a dear friend, Allison. To be born and die on the same date is indeed a twist of fate and ironic. Her gift to you is a lovely one...Laurel Burch...I love her work, too! What I love about garden art is that it DOES weather and fade, to my mind, adding a beauty of its own. You'll see this and remember Ginny fondly.
