Here is a portrait of a wonderful woman, at the memorial service for her husband Ken. Dot is holding Ken's pride and joy, Gracie. The 10-pound dachshund brightened the last year of her master's life and was his constant companion. She also came to the memorial service and behaved perfectly.
I have a love hate relationship with Dachshunds! They are so smart and so entertaining that I love being around them but they are also so smart that they are little terrors!! I think that Gracie was probably the perfect choice for a constant companion. I would imagine that she gave Ken many hours of smiles that he wouldn't have had otherwise.
