John and I went to a gourmet culinary market for their Valentine special event. This is how to was described on their website:
We love chocolate as much as anyone and it has always been a big part of our store, but come February we plan on taking it up a level! Come learn more about the world's most celebrated sweet treat, sample and taste and enjoy special offers in the store and restaurant. Come join us in our stores on February 13th from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM to sample some of the great chocolate from these vendors.
We had fun trying their samples and even bought a couple of chocolate bars from Seattle (visible in the lower right) but most of the prices were so high they turned a pleasure into a guilty pleasure.
Many of my church-going friends give up sweets for Lent. I wonder if that has an impact on Valentine sales.
