David Adler Comes to Collegiate

Children's author David Adler spent the day at the Collegiate Lower School. He has written more than 250 books for boys and girls, including picture biographies and the well-loved mystery series starring Cam Jansen, the girl with the photographic memory. It was a great experience for kids, teachers and librarians. And now I'm exhausted!

How wonderful for the students and staff - my daughter loved the Cam Jansen books when she was younger.

Looking at all the pictures in your collage makes one feel like being part of it all. how nice for the children to meet the author of books they've read or will read.

I must remember this man! Clearly he's an author of note and the kids seem to love him!

@Weezilou Your grandkids might like his new early readers series about Mo Jackson, a little boy with a big passion for sports. "He may not be the biggest, the strongest, or the fastest player, but he won't let that stop him from playing!" I read "Don't Throw it to Mo" to kindergartners and they were spellbound, even the little girls who didn't know a touchdown from a tackle.

@allie912 Thanks, Allie! I think a trip to the library is in order! You're like having my own "Personal Shopper" at the library!

Ashley sent me the following: Thanks for sharing. Not sure if the Cate library would have something of his, but I can take a look. That would be fun to track down.
