I was helping in a Second Grade classroom while the students did research on ocean animals. This child and I were learning all about the Giant Squid. Did you know, until 2012, no live giant squid had ever been seen? They live in the deep ocean, and the only ones that washed ashore were dead. Finally a scientist in a special submarine went deep enough to get pictures of a living squid in its natural environment.
You see I learned as much as the student!
