Some random shots I took in the library today to demonstrate how much reading goes on without even opening a book! Points of interest: the big school sign above our storytelling area was made by the students out of Legos. On the middle row you see the yearbook picture of Mary Morris Watt for whom our library was named and the glow-in-the-dark bookmarks for October. On the bottom row, second from the left, is a drawing made for our students by visiting illustrator Henry Cole. Everywhere you turn, there is something to grab your attention.
A sign out of Legos- very cool! And it's also great that you have an autographed picture by the illustrator- as I usually suspect your library is full of great things!
