Ten dollars to go back in time to my childhood? A bargain at twice the price! The Virginia Historical Society is hosting an exhibit of toys of the 50's, 60's and 70's. I just wish I could have seen it with my kids. The corn popper, the chatty phone, the Millennium Falcon, the Big Wheel and the EZ Bake Oven are all from my kids' toy collection. Howdy Doody was my generation (although I never cared for him) I will be sharing other examples from my youth in the next few days. The really fun part of the exhibit was sitting on the couch in the faux living rooms and watching a series of tv commercials for toys of the decade. So many of them I still remembered! If you are in the Richmond, VA area, I endourage you to drop in.
