You could say Collegiate is a party school! The students are not in class this week as we fill the last few days with meetings, paper work and cleaning. We do take time to stop and enjoy ourselves. Yesterday a delicious luncheon was prepared for us, with the teachers who are retiring or changing careers as guests of honor. After we ate, there was some gentle roasting of the honorees. If you click the link, you will see what happens when kindergarten teacher and skilled performer Robby Turner teases me and then serenades me with his original composition. I am front and center, taking it all in. https://youtu.be/mXjqBcuZZD0 and then https://youtu.be/8Lq4BXDfVaI
What a happy and supportive place to work.....it always comes across that way. Hope you had plenty tissues for all the laughter.
A few days to complete paperwork meetings and tidy up is such a luxury!!!
Wishing you a very happy retirement and look forward to seeing your zest for life in photos to come.
@sarah19@kjarn@jo38 I don’t think I have really absorbed it all yet. Collegiate has filled so much of my life for so long, I will have to consciously work to find other meaningful activities. It has been a wonderful career!
