First time home for Christmas in years. Having passed on all our ornaments to our two children, we had to make do for this year with this ceramic tree which we inherited when John’s mother died. I’ll bet you have seen something similar or maybe had one in your house when you were growing up. To get in the holiday spirit, I am watching the perennial favorite, “ A Christmas Story” in which young Ralphie schemes to get the Red Ryder B.B. gun despite his mother’s fear that he’ll shoot his eye out. It never gets old.
I was all set to go out and get a tree this year (we haven't had one in quite a while) but now we will be in KY with son #2 and his family so, it'll just be the table top stuff again! I've always liked these little trees but never had one. It's a nice family memory for you.
