Today was the first time the Virginia Museum of History and Culture presented one of its great Banner Lectures live to its members as well as streaming, so I took the opportunity to attend. The museum has actually been closed since last winter while a major renovation has been underway. The project is not complete, but by entering through the front doors on Arthur Ashe Boulevard, you can avoid most of the ongoing work being done.
