A number of years ago I divided all our Christmas tree ornaments between our two adult children. They were starting their own family traditions and decorations from their own childhood added another level of meaning to their celebrations. We were also traveling to Florida to participate in Max’s Christmas. Last year, of course, we stayed home and are doing that again this year. So I bring out just a few significant pieces that I display around the house to remind us of parents and children both long ago and far away.
