I took a different path on my daily walk and went through the alleys of my neighborhood. I saw lots of things I've never noticed before and I'll be documenting them this week. This little patch of flowers look like are growing in the deep dark woods but in fact they were growing wild at the edge of the alley.
Those leaves look like violets...might they be a variety? I like the idea of taking a different route to see new sights...I get to do a little of that soon, myself...notes from the road...
I think these are wild Star of Bethlehem. The leaves are grass-like; the leaves that look like violet leaves don't belong to this flower. They grow from a small bulb which looks alot like wild onion. They grow wild in my yard -- I like for my husband to let the grass grow a little taller when the Star of Bethlehems are coming out.
Allison, I like this photo...it makes me think of...do you remember that speaker we had who told us to take a different route home or wear our watch on our other arm...who was he? Guess he had some good ideas after all...wish I could remember who he was and why he came to talk to us...wasn't it back when "paradigm shift" was the new edutalk?
Pretty flowers! I love taking flower shots, but don't know what any are :)
Opinion wise - I think this would be a great subject to isolate, especially paired with the deep green background. You mentioned the word document in your description, and I think thats fair. Just a slightly different angle of approach, and you can easily breach the realm of art piece as well as a documentary piece. Keep it up :)
