Museum Stairs

The architecture of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is as much a work of art as any painting or sculpture exhibited there. I love the juxtaposition of lines and angles as you descend to the Marble Hall from the third floor of the new wing.
Neato! Though stairs constantly try to kill me, I think they are pretty cool when they wind around.

very nice! and think of the craftsmen that created those railings and the engineers and architects that designed them.

Yes, I love the lines, curves and angles of stairwells. The light in this picture is great.

Is this in Richmond? I've never been there, have to put it on my list.

I love shots like this - interested in buildings and materials and how they work together - the metal, the wood, the stone and the glass :) Nice shot :)
