But is it art? by allie912

But is it art?

Jackson Pollack perhaps or Mark Rothko or maybe Cy Twombly? Would you believe it is a big sheet of paper the art teacher spreads out so the kids' paint won't spill on the tables? She uses it multiple times, and the paint continues to build up. Personally, I think it's pretty great.
I'd hang it on my wall!

By the end of the year, she'll sell it on eBay for thousands - an original piece of art! I think it's cool!

awesome! I love it!

I would say it is better than most of the things I see in the museum.

Love it. Good question. Put a frame on it and it's art! Perhaps because the effects of a painter can also be created randomly, doesn't mean that which is similar but deliberately created isn't art. Maybe someone should pull together all those random acts of art and auction them for a cause.

so colourful, it would look quite good on the wall.

Gorgeous! (I think you should have it framed!)

Just think of it as a masterpiece in the making. Perhaps it could be used one day as a hug abstract mural.

I think it looks like an awesome abstract painting. I agree with Cindy, Lynne and Rick -- it should be framed and hung on the wall as a large mural.

What a need way to have a lovely painting ready for framing.
