This area of Richmond is called Windsor Farms. Historic houses in the neighborhood include Virginia House and Agecroft Hall, both moved from England in the 20th century. Designed in 1926, Windsor Farms is one of Richmond's first planned neighborhoods. The road layout consists of circular and diagonal patterns with English street names such as Dover, Canterbury, Berkshire, and Banbury. It is a beautiful peaceful enclave far removed from the ordinary Richmond neighborhoods.
I wonder what life is like growing up in such a neighborhood today with all the "old money" that is now mixed with the "new money." I'm from a blue collar family so I can only imagine what life would have been like in the 60s and 70s there...yes, I am old...I admit it to all you younger 365ers who might be reading my comment :-)
