Here is a picture I processed on my iPad. I wanted to try its photo functions before I had to depend on it for my trip next month. I learned a lot which I'd like to share with you. Although the iPad is an Apple product, there is no iPad version of iPhoto so I found a few free apps that seemed to work well. I wouldn't want to use them for my first line of editing but they'll be fine while on the road. You can add pictures by email,or through a camera adapter which I bought. This enables you to download directly to the iPad using your camera cable or by inserting the memory card in the device. Download was very quick. The big disappointment was something I hadn't expected. Steve Jobs of Apple has a thing agains flash-based products. He is hoping to singlehandedly get all developers to leave flash behind. Guess what -- 365 project is based on flash. Hence I couldn't access the upload tool page on 365 from my iPad. Fortunately, Ross came up with a work-around. The email address at the bottom of the upload page works and sends your photo ahead ready for you to add comments.
So in conclusion, be flexible and don't expect the iPad experience to be exactly like a computer. And in so many ways it is actually better!
Great public service announcement tonight, Allison...truly, you probably saved some people a LOT of time by sharing what you have learned...just wish I had an iPad so I could put your newly gained knowledge to use myself!
Great job with this, I am glad you are experimenting with it and keeping us updated. When fathers day comes around maybe Sara can knock over a bank and help old dad out.
