It was the day of the 4th Grade Science Fair, and these two friends had partnered to do research on sea shells. Emily had even made necklaces in honor of their project. They had a very accurate demonstration of the creation and composition of shells and as part of the display they had an array of shells that had been polished by the ocean's waves. http://365project.org/allie912/365/2011-05-06
Awesome. I love the more basic projects like these rather than the ones that the parents fully make for their kids. I vividly remember my science fair - my project was on carrier pigeons and I did everything including cheesy colored pencil bird drawings. Next to me was an elaborate fire sprinkler contraption set into plexiglass that needed four adults to carry in. I felt better when neither of us won :). Thanks for bringing back some funny memories!
