I came upon this work site on this morning's walk. At this point in the construction process, you can see right through to the sky and trees beyond.
Yesterday's puzzle was solved by Mrs. Smith. Good thinking, Carla! As I figure it, the heavy summer storn pounded the flowers from the crepe myrtle shrubs down onto the pavement and then the rain water rushed into the gutter alongside the step in the background of the picture. The water and petals then poured onto the drive way where the flowers ultimately remained while the water rushed on.
I didn't think of that.
