This mama duck was tucked up against the wall of the classroom building on the edge of the school garden. She never moved while I crept around trying to get a good angle. A duck alert has gone out to the students, so I hope she will be left in peace til the big day.
Ahha! "Nest Watch" is in your ballpark now! I didn't want the gardeners/pool cleaner going in the area of "my" nest, so I set up some chairs to block the area and taped a note with a drawing of a nesting bird. The constant reminder obviously worked! Now I'm looking forward to YOUR photo journal!
