I feel like an old codger talking about the bad old days, but yesterday we bought gas for my new car and paid 62 cents a gal. Of course that was after redeeming "fuel perks" of $1.20 a gal. earned at the grocery store for being a good customer. I doubt we'll be seeing prices this low for very long, but let's enjoy them while we can.
Every time it drops I mention it to A as we pass the station...she has no idea the significance of the current prices, but it is nice to be able to fill the tank for $30!!
Hey, it is all worth it. Up here we have Giant Food Stores and it is quite easy to earn significant savings, and we enjoy the much lower price at the pump
Fun shot and what a deal! With food prices the way they have skyrocketed recently, I take advantage of any special offer I can find. For my next trip to fill up the gas tank, I will get 70 cents off a gallon (Winn Dixie rewards) plus $5 off using my AMEX card. Take advantage while it lasts :-)
