Res Ipsa Loquitur

The Latin expression above translates as "The thing speaks for itself". As a legal term it refers to the doctrine that infers negligence from the very nature of an accident or injury in the absence of direct evidence on how any defendant behaved.
In this case, however, I mean the Latin literally. The "thing" here is the word "Fall" spelled out in fallen leaves, representing the first day of Fall, Thursday, September 22. Just a pause in my day to bear witness to the spinning globe on which we live.
