Second Graders had another great engineering project to design. The assignment was to select an animal to research from their field trip to the local zoo and create a jointed figure and habitat in the proper scale. Then they made a recording of selected facts and illustrated them, while the engineering teacher collected the slides in a tour video to be placed on iPads. Visitors to the Habitat Museum carried the iPads as they toured the exhibit. The finished product was a wonderful combination of research, creativity, engineering and problem solving. Here is just a small sample of their work.
