Can you imagine how I felt when I pulled the covers back to get into bed? Want to guess what it is? Since I am here to tell the tale, I guess you know it wasn’t a monster attempting to sneak up on me.
Actually it was the edge of a foam rubber mattress topper with an egg crate design. Somehow it got loose from the fitted sheet. My heart was in my mouth when I first spotted this, and you can bet I readjusted the sheet immediately!
This was not a good way to achieve tranquility before sleep.
