This is the evidence of my theft from the community garden, hence the adjective “hot” meaning stolen. I harvested them from the ground where I felt confident they would otherwise remain til they decomposed. According to my daughter-the-chef, the collection includes both hot and jalapeño peppers, and she warned me not to touch my face while I prepare them.
