My favorite picture from the photography show at VMFA. Created in 1968, there is a certain irony in this image of the little boy facing a future limited by racial prejudice and yet so hopeful and proud of his country.
And of course the artist, Laszlo Kondor, emigrated from Hungary to America for the same reasons
