Coming from a family of foodies, Grandson Jack named his pup “Mochi”, after Japanese rice cakes with a slang meaning of “cute” (as a fluffy moist rice cake) Today I found mochi ice cream which in this case was chocolate ice cream encapsulated in a ball of sweet rice dough and a dusting of confectionery sugar. My take on it is, although the ice cream was good, the rice cake didn’t do much for me.
