Cloud Study Series 1

I hope this may be of interest to some, I would welcome your comments.
In my eternal effort to deepen my understanding of B&W (or monochrome) photography and to distinguish between subtle different shades of grey, how they work together, different gradations and textures to make a dynamic and pleasing entirety, I took a series of cloud photographs or which these are 6.
I agree with Abbas, a Magnum photographer, who said: ‘The world may be colour but black and white transcends it.’ For anyone looking at a photograph that means not seeing an actual scene as it presents to the human eye but instead to look at what the photographer was thinking about it and wants to show us. The more I think of how and what we see as humans is often vastly different to what some animals see, this is especially true of colour, e.g. we do not see in infrared whereas some animals this is the norm.
