Toilet Rolls by allsop

Toilet Rolls

Mary Siegle (@mcsiegle) challenged me, for this week's Get Pushed, to "make a picture that shows something that you find jarring, and not conducive to contemplation—a pet peeve, perhaps". Well it occurred to me that often it is the trivial things rather than the big, important things that get us wound up! The way of hanging the toilet roll illustrated on the right in my photograph is clearly totally wrong! Isn't it?
@mcsiegle Hi Mary, hope you like it!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thanks! Could you email my wife and tell her so please? :-)

hahaha I hang mine like the left and it certainly ruins my contemplation if it is the other way :)

@annied Pleased you agree with me :-)

Ha ha ha ... and we all know the “throne” is the place where the most profound and contemplative thought occurs, so it wouldn’t do to have that jarring note there as shown on the right. A note of caution, though — if you have cats and a slight breeze as a teaser, you may find your roll (especially as shown on the LEFT) completely unwound and on the floor in a big heap.

@mcsiegle No cats but a rather large Greyhound who spends most of his life on a settee. Thanks for the challenge I really enjoyed thinking what to do and had a lot of fun with this.

The right side is definitely wrong and my hubby agrees.

@shutterbug49 :-) So far 100% agree with me, right is wrong!

Totally agree! Left is right here!

Lol!!

what a great idea for your get-pushed! and yes, left is definitely correct :)
September 7th, 2019
yes - 100% wrong... 😎

Right is right. Anyone that has had children knows that when the child spins the roll by spinning the roll downward, better to wind up than unwind.

I'm a contrarian and hang mine like the right. I find it is easier to find the end of a sheet of paper in the dark (or anytime) when I can just put my hand against the wall and grab the paper than hope to find the end dangling under the roll but could be actually still on the roll.
It's just my way, I guess. (and Jim's @jnr -lol!!)
