Oh the weather outside is frightful, yet again...but still smiling from the sunshine and good day yesterday. This is a shot taken earlier in the year at my now favorite (and practically famous;-) gazebo that was featured in my shot "Red Rendezvous" two days ago.
I got more good news about that shot...I finally made the top 5 in Get Pushed for the week with a photo and I got my first Ross fav, which, I'll admit made my day.
I am also scrambling to figure out the best way to print another photo that made it into the top 20 in a local competition/exhibition, frame it and possibly mat it for the contest. I want to do it well in hopes that it will sell and I will get some money for new camera gear, but not spend a fortune doing it. It's due next week.
Very famous Gazebo! It looks very pretty here but was of course in full glory in your last photo of it. What a lovely setting. Good luck for the competition - very exciting..
Amanda, what size print do you need? I have some mats, backing boards, corners, etc. (Just matted all those shots for the WCPC show.) What are the requirements for the print...does it need to be matted, or matted and framed? I can help, if you can let me know what you need. :)
Not sure if I congratulated you or not. If not, congratulations and good luck with the competition. There is a company in Ohio called American Frame that we used when we had an aerial photography business. They will print and frame for you - free shipping depending on the size. We were very pleased with the work they did. Check out their website. Although we sold the business a year and a half ago, I do believe they are still around.
Gorgeous capture - beautiful winter feel (just what I need to cool down on another hot, sticky Melbourne day!) :)
Congratulations on your successes too - and good luck for the photo comp!
Incredible capture of this famous gazebo! It looks just as lovely during the day! ;) And wowww a FAV from Ross! That is so awesome! :) Congrats my dear! I do hope you find a place to do your picture printing :)
Thanks all so much for your great comments and words of encouragement about my upcoming contest. I got the printed photos and they look great. I even found an old frame in my house that I wasn't using that would fit the photo with the proper mat. I still need to finish getting it together, but am getting closer. This week is nuts busy, partially due to a family emergency. Sorry for the mass reply.
@darsphotos Thanks so much for the sweet comments and fav, my friend. I'd heard of it before, but never experienced a "Ross fav." Made me smile:).
@vickisfotos Thanks so much, Vicki!! I had shot this at night earlier in the month and it turned out pretty cool as the lights reflected it into the water. Love this gazebo. Just redone last Nov.
Congratulations on your successes too - and good luck for the photo comp!

@psychographer Aw, thanks so much, Miss Lisa. Humbled that the shot did so well. Weird how that happens sometimes.
@tanja_1211 Thanks so much, Tanja. I liked the comparison of day vs. night.
