It's gross and rainy today. I am exhausted. But I took advantage of the fact that Clara was wearing a really cute hoodie and shot some portraits of her. Of 43 shots this was the only one that looked good. Still don't have low light shots down without a tripod.
She really liked it, too and asked me to make it b&w. She chose the sepia because it made it look sunny. Her title of choice was "Zebra in the Sun" because that is where they belong according to her.
Come back, sun. I was getting used to having you around again. We actually almost made it to 70 degrees yesterday. Nuts for winter!!
Such a sweet shot! I just love the sparkle in her eye and the nice, soft lighting. You could always bump up your ISO a little for a little more forgiveness for low light shots. But I think this is charming! Great shot!
Beautiful portrait. I think it's awesome that she wants to participate in the choosing and the editing of the photos. During my first year on 365, my husband, daughter and her son all participated on and off. It was great for family conversations. We followed and were followed by some of the same people. We would talk about our 365 friends like they were family. I miss their participation.
@adamj I liked how it appeared sunny. I think that I could have tweaked the processing better to have not had it so blown out, but ah well...I had to do what Clara said;-). Thanks, Adam!
@masosy I love that I have one that does. The others are a good mix. Thanks, Kate. That always warms my heart to hear.
@steampowered I really loved that, too. Thanks, Paul. It was fun to have her on my lap caring to help for a change:).
@rob257 Thanks, Rob! How's FL? I saw FB updates from there today saying how warm it is today. We are below freezing and snowy here:). Enjoy!
@maggiemae I love that she was into it. I hope to make some little photographers out of them yet! Thanks, Maggiemae!!
@fueast Thanks, Alison. I probably could have worked the processing better to have not had it so blown out, but I liked it, too. Sunny is nice in this cold grayness we are in the midst of.
@soboy5 Thanks, Danny. It was all Clara's choice. Funny how 3 year olds are so opinionated!
@northy You are so kind to fav this. Thanks so much, Northy!
@edie Aw, thanks so much for that, my friend!!

@automaticslim Thank you, Andy!!
@archaeofrog Funny that she was so. I think that this turned out to be a horribly sick day or led up to one. Thanks, friend!
@lfrans Thanks, lady!!
@emrob Great pointer about the ISO. It's still guesswork for me. Love when I guess right! Well somewhat of a crapshoot anyway.:) Thanks, Mandy!
@kbalychev Thanks so much, Kimberly. She's a zebra, though. The sepia does give it a tigerly feel:).
