I had a date with a handsome young man last night. My son, Lucas. I've been meaning to try running with him for awhile now so we ran ahead of the rest of the family who walked the dog. He did pretty well considering he has never really gone running before. I'm excited that I can do that with him now.
Afterwards, I planned to go out and catch the sunset for photos. I'd been out twice this week and witnessed the setting sun without a camera, so I was going to chase it down finally. He got a camera for his birthday this year and keeps asking me for a photo date. I decided to bring him along this time.
It's really nice to have a buddy in crime. And so great to share my loves with my son.
Beautiful photo and love the story too. My kids are still very young but I often wonder, will they like photography or be fed up with me taking pictures all the time and come to hate it?? Have a great weekend
Amanda I am so happy for you to have the joy of one child at a time. I think it is really precious and something that I forget all the time. Even now when my daughters are grown the time to stop and focus on them or do something with just one of them is precious and I'm surprised at how quickly I forget that and how sweet it is when I remember. This is lovely and keep having those dates!
