I had planned to get up and shoot the sunrise yesterday morning. I had gone for an early morning run on Saturday and was annoyed that I didn't have that camera implanted in my eye like I've been wanting...missing lovely shots as I ran by. Thus the desire to go out and capture it on Sunday. Trouble was, I slept horribly on Saturday night, which is unfortunately the norm. I wasn't sure if I would get up, but when the lights peeked in my room in the morning, I knew I had to do it.
I walked down to the lake and hung out with the rising sun. It was a beautiful time of day, I had the place to myself and for the rest of the day, I was walking on sunshine. So worth the early start.
Thanks so much for your great comments, faves and support that got yesterday's silly fairy selfie on the PP. I didn't expect that kind of response with that one and love that you appreciate my quirkiness:).

Beautiful! I was trying to get up this morning for the sun rise, but forgot that my watch was an hour behind due to the time change! haha FAV ... This is lovely!

@thirtysevenways Yes! I need to find another place to go to for the sunrise. I wish it were easier/safer for me to do this. I guess that I just have to solicit a friend to go with me...lots of 365ers in the area, though. Thank you, Andy. It was the best start to the day in a while!
@seanoneill You know this place! I've got to find another place to take in the sunrise. This is nice as it is so close to home. I tried all sorts of placements for the sun in this shot including centered in the middle of the gazebo, but went with this one and its golden tones in the end. Thanks, Sean. @abhijit Thank you sooo much. Do you see that I was less lazy with my process this time and got rid of the poles on the left? I had left them in my nighttime shot months back. I wonder if it would have done better had I processed them out back then? Oh well. I tagged you in my lameo moon shot. Not that bad, just not close to yours.

How many did you take to get it right? I tried to shoot the sparkle on the lake today and they came out pretty crappily. Bright light is hard to expose right sometimes.
@adamj Awesome. Candids are tough. But I guess that it just take practice not being a spaz when you are taking them and getting them right. I'm getting better at it. You and your brother rock it.
