So grateful for color and sunshine this morning. Ah, I needed that.
Yes, it is still cold. As I stood at the bus stop with the kids this morning, I felt my nostrils crackling as they froze. On the way home, I noticed the warm glow of the rising sun lighting up the woods in my neighbors yard. I ran home, got the camera and shot until I could no longer feel my finger pushing the shutter.
I warmed up after a cup of hot tea.
It may be frigid cold outside, but this scene, this color, this sunshine warms my soul. Happy Wednesday, my friends.
What a beautiful photo, Amanda. You have a wonderful view. I went outside to take a photo this morning and nothing. Blue skies, 27 degrees, the neighbors tree is barely starting to get leaves, so early. No rain till maybe April 30. In the 70's still and in the days to come. Crazy weather here. Hope you are staying warm.
@joeyc It's amazing to me how deceptive the sun is in the winter. Actually sometimes it does make it feel warmer, but usually, it's just pretty and bright but still flippin' cold (like today:).
You have to be careful when your nose starts crackling in the cold! Pretty soon the nose hairs start breaking off, followed by your nose! :)
This is a gorgeous sunrise! Well worth the frostbite on your poor finger! I pray that some of the warmth we've been enjoying in Idaho will travel it's way east and bless you with sunshine and some respite from the crazy winter you've had!
@egad Yeah, our warm looking sun has been just a trick. Totally cold out there. It was 0 last night or colder. I'm looking forward to spring, that's for sure. Sheesh, and we are just a month into winter. Yikes!
